This is a rebuilt cast-iron cylinder head—not an uninspected used takeout or an unknown exchange head. Duffin Diesel has specialized in heavy-duty diesel engine machining since 1970.

REBUILDING PROCESS:

• Cylinder head completely disassembled and cleaned
• Casting visually inspected for damage
• Pressure tested for leaks and cracks
• Deck surface inspected and precision resurfaced
• Valve guides measured and serviced as required
• Valve seats precision-machined
• Valves inspected and serviced or replaced as required
• Valve springs inspected
• Valves, springs, retainers and keepers installed
• Camshaft bores and mounting surfaces inspected
• Final assembled-cylinder-head inspection completed

The cylinder head is supplied assembled with the installed valves, springs, retainers and keepers shown in the photographs.

Camshafts, rocker assemblies, injectors, head bolts, gaskets and installation hardware are not included unless specifically stated.

APPLICATION:

For selected Cummins ISX and QSX 15-liter dual-cam engines, including certain CM570, CM870 and CM871 applications.
